Brownie Cake
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 t. soda
2 sticks butter
3/4 c. water
4 T. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
Preheat oven to 325° F and grease and flour a 9x13” pan.
Mix 1st three ingredients in a bowl.
Combine water, butter, and cocoa in a small saucepan and heat.
When mixture begins to boil, remove from heat.
Combine all ingredients and pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 35+ minutes.
Icing
1/4 to 1/2 c. milk
4 T. cocoa
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Mix butter and cocoa in a saucepan and heat on stove.
When mixture reaches a boil, remove from heat.
Add sugar and milk and whip until lumps are removed.
Add pecans and spread icing over cake.
