Fresh Rhubarb Cake
Gwen Sickler
1-1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. butter milk or sour milk
1-1/2 c. rhubarb (cut in small pieces)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp soda
2 c. flour
Mix all together and spread in 9x13 pan.
Mix the following and sprinkle over cake:
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Bake at 350° until toothpick comes out clean. Serve with whipped cream.
