Twinkie Torte

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 package chocolate chips -- (6oz.)
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons water
3 egg yolks
3 egg whites
1 cup whipping cream or DREAM WHIP
3 1/2 packages Twinkies
1/4 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Melt over low heat and cool:
1 (6oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
Add 3 egg yolks, one at a time, and beat well after each. Beat 3 egg whites and fold into mixture.
Beat 1 c. whipping cream or DREAM WHIP and fold into mixture. Slice 3 1/2 pkgs. Twinkies in halves and line bottom of square pan with half of them.
Add 1/2 the chocolate mixture; cover Twinkies. Top with 2nd layer of Twinkies and cover with remaining chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with 1/4 c. chopped nuts.
