Frosting Powdered Sugar Glaze

2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbl water
1 Tbl light corn syrup
1 Tbl butter, softened
1/2 tsp almond extract or vanilla, if desired
food coloring, if desired

In small mixer bowl combine powdered sugar, water, corn syrup, butter and vanilla (or almond extract); mix until
powdered sugar is moistened. Beat at medium speed until
smooth, addingadditional water if necessary to reach desired spreading consistency. Color with food coloring if desired. Frost cooled cookies. Let stand until hardened (6 hours or overnight).
