Ghirardelli Premium Microwave Brownies
2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/4 c. Ghirardelli Premium Unsweetened Cocoa
1/4 c. Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Frosting:
1/2 c. mini chocolate chips
1/4 c. peanut butter
Melt butter in microwave-proof bowl on high for one minute.
Add sugar and cool.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour, cocoa, ground chocolate and baking powder into sugar mixture and blend in.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into lightly greased 9 inch glass dish.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes, (or until just set) turning at least 3 times.
Immediately sprinkle on chocolate chips and dot peanut butter on top of brownies.
Let melt, swirl with butter knife.
Cool before cutting.
Makes 1 dozen brownies.
These are best served on first day they are baked.
