Rhubarb Brownies
1/2 c. shortening or margarine
2 squares chocolate
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. cooked rhubarb
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Melt shortening and chocolate. Beat eggs and sugar, add cooked rhubarb and vanilla. Combine with melted shortening and chocolate. Sift together dry ingredients; fold together; add nuts. Bake in 9"x9" or 11"x7" pan at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
