GINGER CUTOUTS
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup soft butter or margarine
2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teas. ground ginger
1/2 teas. salt
1 tea. baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
Mix first three ingred. well; add sifted dry ingred. alternately with buttermilk and mix until smooth. Chill for several hours.
Roll out on floured board to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with floured cutter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated moderate oven (375*) for about 15 minutes. Cool and decorate as desired.
