Ginger Pear Ice Cream
4 fresh ripe pears, peeled and cored
2 Tbls. lemon juice
3 to 4 Tbls. chopped crystallized ginger
1 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1 cup whipping cream
In blender or food processor fitted with metal blade, puree pears, lemon juice and ginger. Pour into a large bowl.
Stir in sugar until dissolved. Stir in milk and cream. Freeze.
