Sweet And Sour Pork Chops
6 med. pork chops, 1/2" thick
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 green pepper, cut into squares
1 c. celery, sliced
1 sm. onion, cut into eighths
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. vinegar
1 cn. Manwich
1 cn sliced pineapple, undrained and quartered
Trim fat from pork chops. Brown in oil in large skillet. Remove and set aside.
Add to skillet green peppers, celery and onion. Saute lightly. Drain fat. Mix cornstarch and brown sugar, add to skillet with remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Return pork chops to skillet, cover and simmer for 30 minutes over low heat. Stir once or twice.
