Butterfly Pasta with Basil
8 oz (wt) farfalle (butterfly or bows pasta) 250 g
1/4 cup slivered fresh basil leaves 50 ml
2 Tbs olive oil 25 ml
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Cook the farfalle in a large pot of boiling salted water just until al dente. Drain well. Stir in basil leaves, olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss together.
Serves 4 as a side dish.
