Slow Cooker Cassoulet
Cooks 5 to 6 hours
1 broiler- fryer chicken cut up, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pounds skin removed
1 small leek, thinly sliced
1 clove of garlic, crushed
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 (15 ounces each) cans white kidney beans, drained
1/2 pound smoked turkey sausage links, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1/4 cup dry white wine
In slow cooker, combine chicken, leek, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Top with beans and sausage. Add wine, cover and cook on Low 5 to 6 hours or until chicken is tender.
