Chicken Cheese Chowder
4 slices of bacon
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 Tbsp. green pepper
2 cups milk
1 (10 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup diced cooked chicken
dash salt
4 oz. Monterey Jack, shredded
Cook bacon till crisp, drain and reserve drippings. Crumble bacon.
Put 2 Tbsp. reserved drippings in saucepan. Add onion and green pepper. Cook till tender. Add milk, soup, chicken, salt and 1/2 of bacon. Heat through. Add cheese. Stir to melt. To serve garnish with bacon.
