Praline Syrup
Ball Canning Book
2 cups dark corn syrup
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup pecan pieces
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Combine syrup, sugar and water in a saucepot. Bring to a boil; boil 1 minutes. Reduce heat; stir in pecan and vanilla; simmer 5 minutes. Ladle hot syrup into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Adjust two-piece caps. Process 10 minutes in a boiling water canner. Yield: about 4 half-pints.
