Baked Chicken and Rice
1 whole chicken breast, split
melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup uncooked regular rice
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) condensed chicken broth
1/8 tsp. celery seeds
1/8 tsp. celery salt
1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. green pepper flakes
1 can (6 oz.) water chestnuts, sliced
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Brush the chicken with the melted butter. Bake in a shallow casserole at 350 for about 30 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients,cover and bake 30 more minutes
or until the chicken is tender and the rice is done.
