Hamburger Soup

1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 tea. pepper
1/4 tea. dried oregano
1/4 tea. dried basil
1/4 tea. seasoned salt
1 envelope (about 1 ounce) dry onion soup mix
3 cups boiling water
1 (8 oz. can) tomato sauce OR the beef stock
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 cup macaroni, cooked and drained OR 1 cup diced potatoes
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Crumble and brown hamburger in skillet.

Combine cooked and drained meat with all the seasonings. Add water,tomato sauce or stock and soy sauce. Then add carrots, celery and potatoes. Cover and cook in crock pot on low for 6 to 8 hours.

Turn control to high and add cooked macaroni and Parmesan cheese.

Cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

Sprinkle with parsley just before serving.

About 5 servings.
