Party Provolone Rounds

12 slices party rye bread
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 teaspoons chopped chives
1/8 teaspoon oregano
12 slices Provolone cheese
6 cherry tomatoes, cut in half

Place bread on baking sheet; toast under broiler on one side. Combine butter, chives and oregano; spread on untoasted side of bread. Return to broiler for 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned. Place cheese rounds on each slice of bread. Cut tomatoes in half crosswise; place 1/2, cut-side up, in center of cheese. Broil until cheese is slightly melted, about 1 minute.
