Pretty Pink Holiday Dip

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (7 oz.) jar roasted sweet red peppers, drained
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbl. lime or lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed, or 1 Tbl. snipped fresh
1 1/2 tsp. dried parsley or 1 1/2 Tbl. snipped fresh
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white or black ground pepper
*Focaccia Toast

In food processor or blender, combine cream cheese, peppers, garlic, lime juice, herbs and salt and pepper. Cover and process til smooth and creamy. Chill til serving time. Serve as spread with Focaccia Toast, dip with veggie dippers or as a sandwich spread.

*Focaccia Toast: In a bowl, mix
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 T. olive oil
2 t. dried basil, crushed
2 t. dried oregano, crushed
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 t. pepper

In a bowl combine all ingredients.Slice focaccia or French bread (1 lb. loaf) into strips about 1/4" thick and 4" long. Place, cut side up, on baking sheets. Brush with butter mixture. Bake in 375 oven for 8-10 minutes or til tops begin to brown.

Makes 1 3/4 c. Dip
