Layered Appetizer Torte

3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. butter
4 to 6 oz. ham, sausage or salami
1 Tbsp. white onion
dash of pepper sauce
1/4 to 1/3 lb. Cheddar
2 Tbsp. milk
4 to 5 green onions

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy and divide into 3 equal portions.

Layer 1:
Combine and beat until smooth 1/3 cream mix, choice of meat, finely chopped white onion and pepper sauce. Spread in bottom of 7-inch spring form pan. Smooth and chill.

Layer 2:
Combine and beat until smooth 1/3 cream mix, grated Cheddar and milk.

Layer 3:
Wash,dry and slice the tops of green onions. Puree in blender or processor. With motor running, drop by spoonful into onion mix the last 1/3 cream mix. Spread over layer 2. Chill overnight.

Garnish with parsley. Serve with snack crackers.
