Crab Melt-A-Ways

3/4 stick butter or margarine -- preferably butter
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
7 oz. jar sharp cheddar cheese -- Old English
7 ounces crabmeat
1 package English muffins

Combine all ingredients. Split English Muffins and spread mixture on halves. Cut into fourths and place on a cookie sheet. Broil until golden brown. May be frozen before broiled for later use.

Note: The recipe doesn't call for it but I would stir the crab around in a non-stick skillet first to insure that it was cooked thoroughly.
