Sweet and Sour Tofu 
375 G. firm tofu, drained and cubed into 3/4" cubes 
1/4 Cup oil 
1 clove garlic, sliced 
200 g. green beans, sliced (1/2 lb.) 
1 onion sliced 
1 carrot sliced thinly 
200 g. broccoli, sliced (1/2 lb.) 
1 stick celery, sliced thinly 
2 green onions, chopped 
1 Tbsp. Tamarind sauce (or ketchup) 
1 Tbsp. Fish sauce 
2 Tbsp. Oyster sauce 
1 Tbsp. Soy sauce 
1 Tbsp. Sweet Chili sauce (Heinz® or other name-brand) 
1 Tbsp. Tomato paste 
2 Tbsp. Sugar 
1 Tbsp. White vinegar 
1/4 tsp. Ground star anise   
1 tsp. Cornstarch 
1 Cup water 
  
Heat oil in wok, add garlic, cook 30 seconds, remove and discard garlic. Add tofu to wok and in batches, stir-fry gently until lightly browned. Remove from wok. 
Add beans, onion and carrot, stir-fry until vegetables are almost tender. Add broccoli, celery and green onion, sauces, paste, sugar, vinegar and spice, stir fry 2 minutes. 
Stir in tofu with blended cornstarch and water. Stir-fry gently until sauce boils and thickens slightly.
