Bok Choy with Mushrooms by Janie
1 tbs. sesame seeds
1/4 cup peanut oil
1 tbs. sesame oil
4 garlic cloves, peeled, thinly sliced
2 red chilies (optional) seeded, finely sliced
6 mushroom flats, sliced
4 baby bok choy, halved, washed thoroughly
2 tbs. oyster sauce
Toast sesame seeds in a dry wok over medium heat for 30 seconds or until
golden.
Remove from pan and set aside.
Add oils to pan and heat over medium-high heat. Add garlic, chilies
(if using) and mushrooms.
Stir-fry for 3 - 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
Meanwhile plunge bok choy into a saucepan of boiling water for 1 - 2
minutes or until tender-crisp (or microwave covered for 2 minutes on high).
Drain and place in serving bowl.
Add oyster sauce to mushrooms and toss to combine. Spoon over bok choy and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
