Baked Beans: Drunken Beans

Drunken Beans

2 pounds great northern beans, canned, rinsed
8 ounces of bacon, diced
1 small onion, diced
16 ounces of catsup
1/4 c. vinegar
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp dry mustard
1 clove garlic minced
1 dash cayenne pepper
2 T. molasses
1 (12 ounce) can of dark beer, reduced to 6 ounces
3 T. tomato paste
1 T. A-1 sauce


Combine all ingredients in a greased 9 x 13 casserole or Pyrex cake dish. Bake covered for 1 hour at 350. Uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes. Leave set 15 minutes before serving.
