Dessert Biscuits

2/3 of a 3 ounce package of instant pudding mix (I.E. chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch, lemon, etc.)
1 1/4 cups all-purpose baking flour
1 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1/16 to 1/8 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
Optional: chopped nuts, chocolate chips or any other flavored chips, honey, brown sugar, cream cheese, lemon or orange zest, cinnamon, peppermint extract, vanilla extract and etc. Feel free to experiment and to play around with various ingredients to see what you can invent.

Combine and beat together in a medium bowl, the butter and the sugar until the mixture is very soft. Add in the beaten egg, flour, instant pudding mix, and the salt. (Add in other optional ingredients if so desired.)

Knead the biscuit dough well on a floured level surface. Roll the biscuit dough out. Cut the biscuit dough with the biscuit cutter. Bake the biscuits for 10 minutes or until the biscuits are done in a peheated 350 degrees F./(175 degrees C.) oven. Makes anywhere from 6 to 9/or 10 servings.
