Biscuits Hardee Clones

HARDEE'S BISCUITS

2 t baking powder
2 cups self-rising flour
2 t powdered sugar
6 T shortening
1 cup buttermilk

Preheat oven to 425.

Combine dry ingredients & shortening; cut in until its crumb, then add the buttermilk. Mix well. Roll out & cut out biscuits.

Place close together in pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until browned.

Pour melted margarine over top, place under broiler a few minutes, watching carefully.

Note: When cutting biscuits, cut straight down into dough. Do not twist or they won't rise as high as they should.

HARDEE'S BISCUITS

* 4 c. self-rising flour
* 1 T. sugar
* 1 T. baking powder
* 2 c. buttermilk
* 2/3 c. shortening

Mix, but do not knead. Roll out to 1" thick.

Cut and brush tops with buttermilk. Bake at 400 - 15 minutes.
