More of a procedure than a recipe.
Tempering the Flowerpot:
Get a flower pot, your choice of size, and rub the inside really good with shortening.
Put in an oven at 200 for 8 hours. Let cool down in the oven.
When ready to use, grease it again, line it with foil,(especially the
bottom so the bread doesn't come out the little hole) and grease the foil.
BREAD QUICK AND EASY:
Frozen Bread *NOTE
1/4 c soft butter
2 T fresh parsely, chopped
2 T parmesan cheese
dash of pepper
After the first rise, punch down, roll it out to a rectangle and spread
it with a herbed butter then roll it up TIGHTLY, sealing ends
Start to roll and tuck in tight. Pull back and roll again..tuck in...pull
back and roll etc... making a really tight roll.
Fold in half, stick in the flower pot, folded side up.
It should be just below the bottom inside rim of the pot. Let rise again
til it is 1/2 inch above the pot.
Preheat oven to 350.
Bake for 30 minutes. TEST WITH TEMPERATURE PROBE for accuracy. It is
done when
it sounds hollow when tapped on and is golden brown. If it gets too brown too
quickly, cover with foil.
I have done this with little flower pots for a dinner party. Each peson
gets his or
her own pot. Pinch off size of dough to fit pot and do individual ones.
Quick breads are hard to get out. Be careful of them and GREASE WELL.
