Bread Quick Cheese and Pepper Bread

QUICK CHEESE AND PEPPER BREAD

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. coarsley ground black pepper
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease bottom only of a 9x5" or 8x4" loaf pan.

Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In medium bowl, combine flour,cheese, sugar, baking powder, baking soda,salt and pepper; mix well.

In a small bowl, combine buttermilk, margarine and eggs; blend well. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.

Pour into prepared pan.

Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.

Cool in pan 15 minutes; remove. Cool completely on wire rack. Wrap; store in refrigerator.
