Beer Bread

3 c. self-rising bread
1/4 c. sugar
1 (12 oz.) can beer, room temperature


Mix dry ingredients. Stir in beer; batter will be thick. Bake in greased loaf pan 35-45 minutes at 350 degrees.

3 tbsp. sugar
1 bottle room temp. beer (12 oz.) (try Paulaner Hef-Weizen or Guiness Stout for dark, rich bread)


Mix together and put into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Brush with butter immediately. Best cut into thick slices.
