Classic Crescent Rolls
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter
4-5 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 packages rapid-rise yeast
Preheat oven to 425.
Combine milk, water and butter in saucepan and heat on low until liquids
are very warm. Butter does not need to melt.
Place 3 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in mixing bowl.
Use dough hook and mix for 30 seconds on speed 2. Gradually add liquids
over about 30 seconds. Mix 1 minute more.
Continue beating on speed 2 and add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time
until dough clings to hook, about 5 min.
Knead on speed 2 for 3 min.
Place dough in greased bowl, cover and let rise for 15 min.
Turn dough out onto floured board and roll into a circle. Cut into
desired number of crescent rolls with pizza cutter and roll up,
starting at wide end of dough triangles into crescent rolls.
Place on greased cookie sheet, cover and let rise 15 min. Bake 12 min.
Remove and cool on wire rack.
