Pecan Crescent Twists

1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
6 tablespoons butter melted
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a bowl mix together pecans, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.

Unroll crescent rolls into 4 rectangles, each can. Pressing seams together. Brush with 4 Tbls. melted butter. Spoon nut mixture in a row in the middle of each.

Roll up starting with the long side of the rectangles. Bend each around in a circle and pinch together ends. Cut 4 slits in the top of each. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until golden.

In a small bowl mix together remaining 2 Tbls. melted butter, confectioners sugar and syrup. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
