Spoon Bread
1/2 cup cornmeal
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspon salt
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine milk, cornmeal and salt in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thick. Add butter and mix in. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
Pour into a greased 1-qt. casserole. Bake uncovered 30 to 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Serve hot with maple syrup drizzled over the spoon bread.
