Sausage Apple Stuffing

1/4 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped celery
6 cups dry bread cubes
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
3/4 teaspoon Ac'centŪ Flavor Enhancer
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 cups chopped peeled apples
1/2 cup raisins

In small skillet, brown pork sausage with onion and celery. Do not drain.

In large bowl, combine bread cubes, parsley, flavor enhancer, salt, poultry seasoning, pepper and butter; mix well. Stir in water (or chicken broth), apples, raisins and sausage mixture including drippings.

TIP:* Stuffing will fill 18-lb. turkey. For smaller turkeys, extra stuffing can be heated in slow-cooker while turkey is baking. After stuffing turkey, measure remaining stuffing and spoon into slow-cooker. Cover; heat on high setting for 30 minutes; reduce heat setting to low. As turkey produces drippings, or after 2 hours, add 1 tablespoon drippings or chicken broth for each cup of stuffing in slow-cooker; mix lightly.
