3 (1 lb.) loaves of white bread with crust cut; up into cubes
1 1/2-2 Cups whole milk
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach,
thawed and very well drained (or use fresh spinach which has been well
chopped and steamed 5 minutes)
1/2 Cup concentrated broth
1 dozen large eggs - well beaten
1 Cup finely grated Parmasan cheese
Preheat oven to 375.
Soak bread in milk until softened and absorbed.
Add rest of the ingredients; mix well. This should not be 'soupy' -
if it is add more bread cubes until it can be spooned into both ends of the turkey. Bake as normal.
This can also be baked in a well buttered baking dish.
Bake for about 1 hour or until the top is golden brown. It rises as it
bakes and then will 'fall' as it cools.
This stuffing is one which can be sliced and isn't at all crumbly the
way most stuffings are.
