Poppy Seed Bread
3 eggs
1 1/8 c. Oil
3 c. flour
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, almond & butter extracts;divided
1 1/2 TBSP. poppy seeds
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together and pour into 2 loaf pans or coffee tins. Bake for 1 hour.
While bread is baking mix the following in a small bowl:
1/2 tsp. Vanilla, almond & butter extracts
1/4 c. OJ
3/4 c. sugar
Remove bread from oven and poke small holes throughout the cake.
With a pastry brush, brush icing over the cake (I even brush it on the
bottom) Let cool. Wrap in plastic wrap and then foil.
