Sweet Bread Pumpkin Nut

Pumpkin Nut Bread

3 1/2 cups unsifted flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 baking powder
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup shortening
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin (about 2 cups)
1/2 cup water
1 (9 oz.) package None Such® condensed mincemeat, crumbled
1 cup chopped nuts


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Stir together four, baking soda, cinnamon and baking powder; set aside.

In large mixer bowl, beat sugar and shortening until fluffy.

Add eggs, pumpkin and water; mix well.

Stir in flour mixture, mincemeat and nuts.

Turn into 2 greased loaf pans.

Bake 55-60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.

Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.

Cool completely.
