Cereal: Quick Danish Porridge

Quick Danish Porridge

2 cups of cold water
1 cup quick cooking oats
1/4 tsp. (slightly heaping) salt
1/4 cup raisins
2 Tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. cinnamon


In a small saucepan, combine water, oats, salt, raisins and milk. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat. Stirring occasionally. When mixture begins to thicken, stir in cinnamon. Reduce heat to medium and cook a further 2 to 4 minutes (stirring occasionally) or until porridge reaches desired thickness. Top as desired.
Suggestions: cinnamon-sugar or milk or maple syrup.

Makes 2 servings.
