French Toast Oven Style

OVEN FRENCH TOAST

1 loaf French bread cut into 1 inch slices
8 eggs
2 cups milk
1 can evaporated skim milk plus enough water to equal 2 cups
1 tsp. vanillla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. mace

Topping:
3/4 cup softened margarine
1 1/3 cup brown sugar

Grease pan well and fill with bread slices to within 1/2 inch of the top of the pan.

Combine milks and spices and pour over.

Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night.

In morning, combine topping ingredients and spread over.

Bake at 350 deg. for 50 min.

You can also fry up 2 or 3 batches of breakfast sausages the day before and reheat in the microwave in the morning.
