Maple Orange Syrup

1 cup maple-flavored syrup
3 tablespoons orange juice
3 tablespoons margarine

Heat all ingredients in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until warm.

Spiced Orange Syrup

1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1-1/2 cups orange juice

In 1-quart saucepan, combine sugars, cornstarch, and spices, mixing well. Add corn syrup and juice, cooking over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Serve hot over waffles or pancakes.

Note: Can be refrigerated in covered container for several days and warmed in microwave.

Yields: 2 cups

Orange Syrup

3/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup sugar

Combine orange juice concentrate, butter and sugar in small saucepan. Stir over low heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves (so not boil). Remove from heat. Cool. (Can be made 2 days ahead. Keep refrigerated. Rewarm over low heat).

Makes 1 1/4 cups.
