Chocolate Icebox Cake

5 doz. small lady fingers
2 bars German chocolate
2 small packages chocolate bits
2 1/2 Tbsp. water
2 Tbsp. sugar
6 eggs
vanilla (1 tsp.)
2 pkg. Dream Whip®


Line long pan with one layer lady fingers.

Melt together in double boiler, German chocolate, chocolate bits, water and sugar. When melted, separate egg whites and yolks. Add yolks, one at a time, stirring each one in thoroughly. Then remove from fire and cool.

Beat egg whites until stiff, then beat Dream Whip. When chocolate mixture is cool, blend it with
vanilla, egg whites and whipped cream together. Mixture will be thin. Pour some over lady fingers, then more lady fingers, until all are used.
Place in refrigerator for 24 hours. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
