Chocolate Sauerkraut Cake 
2/3 cup margarine 
1 1/2 cup sugar 
3 eggs 
1 tsp. vanilla 
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa 
2 1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour 
1 tsp. baking powder 
1 tsp. baking soda 
1/4 tsp. salt 
1 cup water 
1 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and drained 
Preheat oven to 350° F. and grease and flour two 9 “ cake pans or one 9 x 13 pan.  
Thoroughly cream margarine with sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; add alternately with water to egg mixture. Stir in kraut. Turn into prepared pans. Bake at 350* 25 to 30 min. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
