Christmas Comfort Cake

1 (18 1/2 oz.) Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
1 small package of vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. oil
1 c. nuts
1/2 c. Southern Comfort

Glaze:
1/4 c. butter
1/8 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. Southern Comfort


Cake- Combine cake ingredients. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan or a 12 cup bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour. Cool 15 minutes. Invert onto a plate. Prick top; brush half of glaze evenly over cake top and sides. Cool cake. Reheat glaze and brush over cake. Just before serving sift powdered sugar over cake.

Glaze- Melt butter. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 3 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in Southern Comfort.


You make them in the 6 cup bundt pans . You will need to decrease the baking time to about 30 minutes for the small cakes. The recipe makes 2 small bundt cakes.
