Country Apple Cake with Caramel Sauce

Cake:
2 Tablespoons Oil
1 Egg
1 Package Pillsbury® Nut Bread
3 Cups Apple Pie Filling
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts.


Heat oven to 325*. Spray 9"x9" Pan.

In a large bowl mix oil and egg and beat well. Add bread mix and apple pie filling, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Stir by hand 50-75 strokes until well moistened. Stir in chopped walnuts.

Put into pan and bake for 45-55 Minutes.


Sauce:
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Firmly packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Whipping Cream
1 Teaspoon Vanilla


Mix together all but the vanilla in a saucepan and heat to boiling. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour over cake and serve.
