Frozen Rum Cake
1 sponge cake
ice cream, flavor of choice
rum - amount of choice
Rum Sauce For Frozen Rum Cake:
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. rum
Put a thin layer of sponge cake in a refrigerator tray. Sprinkle generously with rum. Cover with a layer of vanilla, coffee or chocolate ice cream.
Put another layer of cake on top and sprinkle it with rum. Leave in freezer till firm.
Cut in slices to serve with rum sauce.
Rum Sauce:
Boil water with sugar for 10 minutes. Cool to lukewarm and add rum. Pour over rum cake.
