Granny Cake
2 eggs
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix all ingredients together and pour in ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle over batter--mixture of 1/2 c. light brown sugar and 1/2 c. chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35
minutes or until it tests
TOPPING:
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Heat all ingredients together in small saucepan, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved. Mixture will be
thin. Pour over hot cake. This mixture soaks down into cake, making it very moist.
