Gumdrop Cake
1 cup soft butter
3 eggs (beaten)
1 cup warm milk
3 1/2 cups flour (reserve 1/2 cup of flour to coat the cut up gumdrops - then add the raisins to this flour mixture as well)
1 lb gumdrops (omit blacks)
1/2 cups golden raisins
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
Cream sugar and butter then add the beaten eggs. Blend in lemon juice and vanilla. Stir in the warm milk. Add the dry ingredients. Finally add the gumdrops and raisins. Bake in a tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
