Cake Jam

Jam Cake

1 cup butter
1/4 t. salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
Mix and cream well.

3 cups flour
1 t. soda, dissolved in 1 cup buttermilk
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. nutmeg
1 t. allspice
1 cup jam (preferably blackberry)
Add above to creamed mixutre and stir well. Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans (round). BAke at 325 until
done.

Icing
3 cups sugar
4 T. butter
1 cup milk
1 t. vanilla
Mix well and pour between layers and on top.
Sprinkle 1 cup chopped nuts between layers and on top.
