Cake Kraut

KRAUT CAKE

2/3 c butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp soda
2/3 c kraut, drained and chopped
1 1/2 c sugar
1 c water
1/2 c cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift the dry ingredients together.

ADd the dry ingredients alternately with the water, to the creamed mixture.

Stir in the kraut. Pour into 2 greased and floured pans.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Frost with caramel frosting.

The recipe didn't specify the pan size or give the frosting recipe.
