LEMON POPPY SEED CAKE
3 eggs
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons oil
3 cups all-purpose flour
2-1/4 cups sugar
1-1/2 cups milk
1-1/2 teaspoons each of: salt, baking powder, vanilla, almond extract, butter extract
1-1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
GLAZE:
1 and 1/2 teaspoons each of: butter extract, almond extract, vanilla extract
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup sugar
Mix ingredients for cake and bake in tube pan at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until cake tests done. Mix ingredients for glaze and pour over warm cake in pan. Let soak for a few hours before removing from pan onto serving plate.
