Macadamia Chocolate Cake

INGREDIENTS:
10 tablespoons oleo
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup sugar divided
1 2/3 cup flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 bar (14-16 oz.) white chocolate coarsely chopped
11 oz. cream cheese softened
1 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
confectioners sugar
chocolate curls for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:
In large mixing bowl at medium speed cream oleo, brown sugar, and 3/4 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Beat at low speed until blended. Increase speed to medium beat 2 minutes.

Pour batter into greased and floured 10" spring form pan. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Meanwhile, melt white chocolate in top of double boiler, set aside.

In mixing bowl beat cream cheese and 14 cup sugar at medium speed until smooth. Add 1 cup cream and beat until mixture thickens. Fold in melted white chocolate.Chill 2 hours or longer. When cake is cool remove sides of spring form pan or if using regular pans remove cake from pans.

Slice cake in half horizontally. Set top half aside.
Place bottom half on serving plate. Spread filling on cake. Top with remaining layer. Press chopped macadamia nuts(other nuts could be used if desired. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top layer or lay a lace doily (paper) on top then carefully remove paper doily leaving a lacy design. Garnish with chocolate curls. Make curls by shaving chocolate bar into curls.*
