MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE

1 c butter
1/3 c cocoa
2 c sugar
4 eggs beaten
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 c nuts, optional

Melt butter and cocoa in saucepan. Add sugar, beaten eggs, flour and nuts (if desired). Beat well. Pour into well
greased and floured pan. Bake 350 for 30 min. (Pan size -
recommended is 15 1/2 by 10 1/2. I have made it in 13 x 9 and adjusted baking time.)

When the cake is still HOT, spread a 7 oz jar of marshmallow creme on top. The heat from the cake will melt the creme and make it easy to spread.

Icing:
Melt 1/4 c butter, add 1/3 c cocoa, 1/3 c evaporated milk, 1 16 oz box of powdered sugar
and 1 tsp vanilla.

Mix together and spread over warm marshmallow creme. If the icing is warm, it will spread easier, so make it just as the cake is done baking.
