MOUNDS CAKE
1 chocolate cake mix
1 1/2 c. milk
1 stick margarine
14 oz. bag coconut
24 large marshmallows
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
Bake cake mix according to directions. Top while hot
with marshmallow mixture followed by chocolate mixture.
Marshmallow Mixture: Melt marshmallows with 1 cup sugar
and 1 cup milk; add coconut.
Chocolate Mixture: Bring to boil 1/2 cup milk and 1 1/2
cups sugar and margarine. Add chocolate chips.

German chocolate or Swiss
chocolate cake mix
First Icing:
1 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
24 large marshmallows
Mix cake mix as instructed and bake in 13 x 9-inch pan.
Cook first icing in heavy saucepan just until marshmallows
melt. Remove from heat and stir in a 14 ounce bag of coconut. Spread over cake.
Second Icing:
2 c. sugar
3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
Mix all ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 2
minutes. Remove from heat and beat until smooth and thickened. Spread over first icing.
